Wisdom teeth (or third molar teeth) are the very last tooth to come into the mouth – usually during late teens to early twenties. Sometimes they form into unusual shapes or not at all.
While some people have space for these teeth, many do not and can bump into a handful of problems early on or down the track. Often there may be no pain but this doesn’t mean no problem.
Gum infections, decay, cysts and damage to neighbouring teeth are all common associated problems, and many of these problems go ignored for a long time.
At Nundah Village Dental we are fully equipped to assess these teeth and determine the best treatment for you.
Whether this is no treatment, extraction in our practice or referral to a surgeon for more complicated cases.
