Nundah Village Dental is excited to be welcoming Dr Charles Sun to the Nundah Village Dental team in 2025.

A Brisbane State High School old boy, Charles was awarded his Bachelor of Dental Science (honours first class) in 2015 from the University of Queensland. After nearly a decade working under the mentorship of a prominent dental specialist in Western Australia, Charles relocated back to the Sunshine State with his growing family. Dr Sun received a Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontic Treatments in 2022 and is currently completing the Master of Clinical Dentistry degree in fixed and removable prosthodontics with the internationally renowned King’s College London.

Charles values continuing professional development. His dedication to learn from the best had taken him around the world: from learning advanced root canal treatment in San Francisco, to being trained by UK specialists in London, it is Dr Sun’s mission to deliver the most up-to-date care for his local patients.

Dr Sun has a keen interest in Endodontics (root canal treatment), Prosthodontics (veneers, crown and bridge, replacement of missing teeth) and removable Orthodontics (clear aligner treatment). Dr Sun values building long term relationships with his patients and is well versed in all areas of general family dental needs. Charles speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese for patients with language barriers.

Apart from keeping up with his young family, Charles enjoys reading, tweaking his IT gadgets and listening to old school music in his spare time. He is not good at multi-tasking nor following his wife’s instructions, and is working to improve those weaknesses.
